On November 29, 2017, the Delco Times published the article "Haverford OKs Rules to Make Schools More Trans-Friendly" after the School District of Haverford Township voted unanimously to adopt a "new policy created for the purpose of protecting rights and meeting needs of gender expansive and transgender students." Members of H-CAN's LGBTQ+ action group had asked the school board to adopt the policy back in March 2017.

On March 22, 2017, the Delco Times published their article "Haverford Students Call for Color-Coded Gender Equality" to report on Haverford High School's graduating seniors wishing to change the graduation gown tradition of young men wearing red gowns and young women wearing yellow. The article also contains an interview with H-CAN member, Karen Vitale, in which she speaks about the push for a transgender policy H-CAN wishes for the school district to adopt.
